I was fortunate enough to get some Wyld Edibles from a budtender friend who trusts my opinions on edibles. So I decided to record a video so that people know what to expect when purchasing these gummies!
I absolutely love Wyld’s Packaging because it is instantly recognizable and very compact which decreases waste. As most edibles come with 10 servings, but big packaging, I was just immediately in love.
Taste and Recipe
The Marionberry was the absolute best flavor; marrionberry is just a boujee blackberry. The taste and color were really appealing. My next favorites were the Strawberry and pomegranate.
My least favorite were the peach and raspberry because these had a very prevalent weed taste to them. If you don’t mind the weed flavor then you will probably love these ones!
My only complaint with these edibles is that they aren’t vegan friendly as they use gelatin to set the gummy. This was really disappointing because this company is based in Oregon, and I know there is a large (and growing) population of vegans in Oregon and other West Coast states. Sadly these mean I won’t be purchasing any time soon, because I only pay for vegan friendly edibles.
These worked very well! When I get high, I imagine a scale of 1-5 Kelcie’s. Which is basically the faces I make at various levels of highness. If you want to see those faces, watch the video! They are hilarious! Wyld’s gummies got me to 5 Kelcie’s so I had a good night even though I think we just watched tv in bed.
Overall Score: 4 out of 5 Zebra’s
If Wyld sees this, I will give you guys a 5 if you switch to a vegan friendly recipe!!!
Have you tried these edibles yet? What did you think of them? Are there other products you want me to review? Comment below to let me know!
This week I am making some buttermints. Buttermints are my favorite type of mint, but for some reason you can only find them at weddings and around Easter.
I decided to make my own, since I was getting tired of store bought edibles.
For this recipe you will need:
1 stick CannaButter
4 cups of Powdered Sugar
2 tps of Mint Extract
May need an additional 2-4 tbs of water to help it knead together.
Using a Stand Mixer
Place your butter and mint extract into dish and whip together. Slowly add sugar and allow to knead together. You may need to add a little extra of water, but it should look like a dough ball.
Whisk the softened butter and extract together, slowly fold in sugar in a bowl. Once it is a crumbly texture you can place on counter top and begin kneading the dough together.
Once the dough is sticking together, split into 4 equal size portions. You can place the dough in a mold, or just roll and cut them. You can keep all sizes equal or make bigger and smaller mints depending on your dosing.
Allow the buttermints to sit out overnight to dry, or place in a dehydrator at 320F for 4 hours.

This week I decided to make my own cough drops. I have a sensitive throat so I have always used cough drops after taking a dab, but now those cough drops also get me high or manage my pain!
This recipe is fairly easy, but you will need to be prepared as this goes quickly. You will need a stick of CannaButter, 1 cup of CannaAgave (or infused honey or maple syrup), 2 tbs water, 1/2 tsp of white vinegar, and 2 tbs of fresh lemon juice.
You will also need a small pot, candy thermometer, spatula, and a pan lined with parchment paper. You will want to get all the tools and ingredients before you start making these cough drops.
Take your butter, place in the pot and let it melt down. Add your agave to the butter and mix it together. Turn the heat onto Medium heat and continue to stir. Add your vinegar and water to the mix and continue to stir.
Check your heat, we want the mixture to sit at 250F for about five minutes before turning up to 300F. Increase the heat as needed, stirring continuously.
When the mixture sits around 250F, turn the heat to high.
CAUTION: adding the lemon juice will cause the mixture to sputter! Carefully add the lemon juice, and keep stirring, as this will decrease the sputtering. Keep the mixture on high heat, stirring continuously for 1 minute.
After that minute, turn off the heat, and pour the mixture into your parchment lined dish. Place in the fridge for 15 minutes, to let harden slightly.
After the 15 minute cooling period, remove from the fridge. Use a knife to cut into portions, I cut them smaller than I needed and they were 8mg per piece.
Once cut, throw into a jar and use as needed. I prefer keeping mine in the fridge as that keeps them from sticking to one another.
That’s it! Now you have cough drops for if your sick or if your throat hurts after taking a dab!

I decided that I wanted to take a step back from using THC and using more CBD for just medical benefits. For the past 2 years, I have been relying on typical cannabis edibles with some added CBD but haven’t been focusing on that dosing. I would pretty much only use CBD on bad days as a topical; now I will be using hemp-based products and only socially getting high.
I really enjoy vaping, and using cannabis in every form and with working in the industry, I have high standards for what I purchase. I wanted to make sure that I was getting the same quality from the CBD products as I expect from my cannabis products.
My first problem is that there seems to be thousands of these CBD companies and it’s difficult to determine which companies are legit and following all the proper rules and standards. This is incredibly frustrating because I have worked in the industry and have so much cannabis knowledge and I couldn’t find a product that I wanted to buy. I spent about 6 hours looking for a product to buy and came up with nothing.
Okay so why am I saying they are scamming you?
Like I said I love to vape because it is the only way I have been able to experience the mental health benefits. Edibles and topicals work really well with addressing my daily body pains, but can’t quiet my mind or give any other mental health benefits.
I wanted a product like all the THC cartridges I buy. A simple cannabis oil, or in this case CBD oil, with the natural cannabis terpenes or natural terpenes. I didn’t think this was a big ask, but after 6 hours of looking I came up with 0 products that met my needs.
Every single CBD vape company I looked into is using Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG). These ingredients have been found safe for inhalation and gives you the clouds when you smoke. However, we really don’t know the long term effects of those products. When I vape, I want it as close to the plant as possible so natural oil and terpenes.
When you purchase these vape juices you aren’t paying for the CBD, but rather the PG and VG because they use such a minute amount of CBD. Even in the disposable CBD vape pens, they are still cut with a PG/VG mix. I didn’t find a single CBD company that didn’t cut their CBD vape product. NOT ONE!
So I didn’t want to like call anyone out, but during my research I found out the Pure Kanna is using MCT oil to cut their vapes. MCT Oil is currently a prohibited cutting agent in Colorado, I will put a link below so you can see the memo. Pure Kanna is the first company that pops up when you search for CBD vapes, and that worries me! If you are using Pure Kanna you need to STOP USING IMMEDIATELY. Switch to a PG/VG mix.
Even after all of this, I decided that I was still gonna purchase one of these vape juices because I didn’t want to leave the house if I didn’t have to leave. That’s when I realized how poor the dosing is for every company I looked into.
My whole thing with cannabis, is that I use it as part of medical well-being to treat the pain associated with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Dosing is vital and I need a minimum of 10 mgs a day. Even with microdosing, I would need 2.5mgs a day.
This is the ultimate way these companies are SCAMMING YOU!
Most of the disposable vape pens were claiming 30-50mgs, and they make it sound like this is all you need to get the health benefits. However that is for the entire pen, and you would have to smoke at least a quarter of that vape to get a decent dosing. I don’t want to have to smoke a quarter of a cartridge or vape just to get some medical benefits.
Those disposable vape pens were also priced $20-$40 depending on the brand, compared to my Cannabis vape pen which has more CBD and also THC for the entourage effect, and cost $20. I also don’t have to smoke nearly as much to get the same benefits, also this cannabis vape pen is not cut and therefore better.
For the larger bottles of vape juice, like 120 mls, can be incredibly expensive. I made the assumption that an average tank/pod size is 1ml. I took 100/120 to give the dosing in 1ml. If you vaped an entire tank/pod you would only inhale .83333mg of CBD….. A microdose is considered 2.5mgs. For smaller more concentrated vape juices, like a 30ml, would give you 3.3333mf of CBD per tank but again you would need to consume the entire tank to get those benefits.
I only found 1 company, where you could get a vape juice at 100mg dose per 1ml, and that cost $400! I don’t know many people who could afford that.
These companies are literally banking on you to not understand what a proper dose is, and because of that they are snake oil. They are literally putting enough CBD in their to make you think you are being healthy, but in fact they are forcing you to get hooked on these juices!
As an industry professional, I know for a fact that CBD is cheap to buy wholesale. Now a CBD isolate will cost more than a CBD oil because it requires more lab work to ensure that the CBD molecules crystallize. (If you want more information about the science/lab stuff leave a comment!)
Even with a CBD isolate being more labor intensive, this product is still cheap and can be purchased for under $5 a gram. A larger company could get their CBD isolate for around $2 a gram. So why are you paying $40 for 100mg?
I don’t have any type of CBD dispensary near me, and most of the online websites only sell their products. Many of the websites seem like a spam or fraud website and so I don’t want to purchase. While regular dispensaries have some CBD only products, the ones near me have a very limited stock and usually don’t carry a CBD only vape.
I found this incredibly seedy and despicable. If you take nothing else, make sure you are checking to see what the dosing is per serving. Most edible and topical products have this written somewhere, or at the very least mention the total CBD amount. You can then divide the CBD by servings to help you to understand.
The edible and topical companies online have been promising, but be careful about the CBD products from your local Walmart, Walgreens, and Target because those have been the worst offenders.
Now I want to help you, so I will be doing so much more research to find the best CBD products. I will do the research so you don’t have to!
I will be adding another section to my channel, Try It Tuesday. Basically every two weeks I will be posting something that I have tried. This week I am doing a DIY, but I will also do product reviews and give you some techniques to make your own extracts at home!
Being home all the time #coronavirus has made me so aware of how barren my house is. We have hardly any photos anywhere, and still have moving boxes all over the house. I’ve been scouring Pinterest for ideas, and once again couldn’t find anything that I loved!
See I can’t just buy something. I want something that is gonna make me happy for a while, and will give a bohemian look without looking cluttered or messy. I noticed that most of the tassels were made with yarn, but I wanted my tassels to have a shine to them. I also wanted my tassels to be multicolored but was not gonna hand-dye these or do anything more than the bare necessities to make these tassels.
I used a size 10 cotton crochet thread to make my tassels, and purchased them in 5 colors. To give the tassels a uniform look, I decided that the yellow thread would only be used to tie and wrap the tassels. The last items you need are a pair of sharp scissors, and junk mail!
I took the ends of two colors and held them near the top of the envelope. I then loosely wrapped the thread around the envelope for a couple minutes. If you are making smaller tassels then you may only need to wrap the thread for 2 minutes, I wanted fluffy tassels so it took 5 minutes per tassel.
Once you reach your preferred tassel size, cut the thread and tie the tassel. Take your tassel tie color, yellow in my case, and wrap it once around the envelope; this gives you plenty of length to tie the tassel and hang it depending on your project.
Take the yellow thread and thread behind the body color, and pull it up to where you tied of the body colors. You want to TIGHTLY tie the yellow thread. The goal is to get the tassel to start bunching up. Once it is ties, you can cut the yarn on the opposite edge.
Use your hands to brush through the thread, and then you will need to cut it to try and even out the threads. You will need to cut the tassel from a bunch of angles to get it to even.
Once you are happy, then your tassel is done!
I am planning on making multiple items and then bringing them together for wall art, so be on the lookout for Part 2 and 3!
